It has purple blooms with part of it looking like grapes and long seed pods that seem to start blooming the end of late April and they hang down a bit. I am in Maryland and have seen them in this area.This is not a Wisteria its a tree not a vine
I am trying to find the name of a tree that has very twisted branches and can grow up %26amp; into an arbor.?
Could it be a 'walking stick tree'?

Reply:Wisteria will grow to look like a tree if it is trained correctly. I have three.. they are beautiful and have very very thick vines.. like a tree trunk.
