Wisteria Question?

For those who know about maintaining Wisteria.





Can you cut any of the root without killing the plant?





I ask because our Wisteria root is all over the area we want to garden. The root is HUGE!

Wisteria Question?
You will never be able to kill the Wisteria!!! LOL The reason I say this is because it is so hard to ever KILL a wisteria. I guess you could but it's almost impossible. I live in Louisiana and I have seen people clear land for house places and the Wisteria still peek through in places. It really wants to live!

Reply:As the other two said it is virtually impossible to kill but if you cut the roots off to plant in that area they will very quickly grow back and kill whatever you plant!
Reply:The first answer you got is correct. I have also seen folks try to kill out wisteria and it just won't die.
