My wisteria 'black dragon' looks sick..?
Hi:

There is a way to test your Wisteria and see if it is sick or not. Take a your nail or a small sharp knife and scratch the surface of a branch or trunk. If it is still green, the black dragon is healthy. If it is brown, it is in shock.

There are also other factors such as temperature, and rain totals. It does depend on what climate you are in. Here in the south, many of our existing trees are in shock because of the abnormal warm temperatures as well as extreme drought.

If you think the Wisteria is still alive add some six month slow release fertilizer to it and that should help.

Good luck to you and take a look at my website and see the article on trees in shock. Also, take a look at my site map and see if there is anything other information that may help you. Have a great day!
