Any ideas of the cost, location, and all of that fun stuff. Is is even an option to go on the set?
I am planning a trip to LA in March and want to walk down Wisteria Lane...the set from Desperate Housewives.?
Well, there's good news and bad news.
The good news is that you can probably get close to the exterior set, since it's on the Universal Studios backlot, and part of the tour. In fact, that street has been used a lot for many series, including "Leave It To Beaver" and "The Munsters". You can see it by paying admission to Universal Studios Hollywood. The tour is part of admission.
The bad news is that you won't be able to walk down the street, you'll have to stay in the Tram. Also, you'll have to check the shooting schedule at Universal that day to see if they are actually shooting. Your tour may not be able to drive down the street when you go. It's a small chance, but still a chance. I'd hate for you to pay to get in, then not be able to see the street.
Adult admission for Universal is $61, but there are discounts. Check them out at: http://gocalifornia.about.com/cs/losange...
Have fun!
Reply:that location is on the backlot of Universal studios
if you take the regular tram tour you will be pass it
but Universal also has VIP tours (anyone can take those)
it cost about $100 a person. but you have a very small group
and the tram stops at certain locations where you can get
off and walk around the backlot
