How much and when should a wisteria be pruned, no luck with blooms but lots of foliage?

The flower buds of wisteria are less hardy than the leaf buds, so if the type of Wisteria you have is marginally hardy for your area, there may not be much you can do. Pruning won't help since the flowers appear on the previous years growth. If you have a south- or west-facing wall, chimney, etc. against which you can site the wisteria, that might be worth a try.

If you are going to prune your wisteria, prune it right after the wisteria has bloomed. If you prune it in the spring, you will prune off all of the buds.
